Chef Marios Salmatanis
Born in Athens in 1980. Belongs to the fourth generation of family cooks and continues the tradition since 1920, to the restaurant “Salmatanis” in Kifissia. After the School of Tourism in Galaxidi, passion for cooking led him to Paris, where he completed his studies at the “Ecole Ritz Escoffier” with great success. In Greece he collaborated with the hotel “Belvedere” in Crete, “Silver bay” in Theologos, the “Frourarxeio” in Athens.
Alongside the restaurant in Kifissia in 2012 created the restaurant – tapas bar “Thalassa mou” in Paros which is based on the Greek Mediterranean cuisine, with seasonal local raw materials and innovative summer recipes.His free time discover the Greek nature, collecting wild mushrooms andsearching Greek truffle with his dog.
